The more you pay attention to innovation the less likely you are to succeed at it. Bureaucracy and lack of alignment leads to the forcing of innovation to adopt new processes, tolerances and results in a very dysmorphic kind of functioning. Questions like “who said you could work on this, or inhibiting and risk increasing questions like “why should we build this product and what happens if we do” generally stifle innovation and lead to failure. In order to truly innovate, we must be willing to crash. So it is much like driving a car. Go when they say stop. Stop when they say go. Speed up when they say slow down. Say yes when they say it's impossible.
Your best chance is to create an environment where you can prove quick returns. You have to do this by operating from fresh perspective without your current mindset. We are that environment that brings fresh perspective like Spring air in April.
